एकवस्त्र: शुचि: स्नात: श्रद्धान: समाहित: । सोमस्य रश्मय: पीत्वा महायज्ञफलं लभेत्,पौषमासके शुक्ल पक्षमें जिस दिन रोहिणी नक्षत्रका योग हो, उस दिनकी रातमें मनुष्य स्नान आदिसे शुद्ध हो एक वस्त्र धारण करके श्रद्धा और एकाग्रताके साथ खुले मैदानमें आकाशके नीचे शयन करे और चन्द्रमाकी किरणोंका ही पान करता रहे। ऐसा करनेसे उसको महान् यज्ञका फल मिलता है
ekavastraḥ śuciḥ snātaḥ śraddhānaḥ samāhitaḥ | somasya raśmayaḥ pītvā mahāyajñaphalaṁ labhet ||
ഒറ്റവസ്ത്രം ധരിച്ചു, സ്നാനം ചെയ്ത് ശുചിയായ്, ശ്രദ്ദയോടെ സമാഹിതചിത്തനായി, സോമന്റെ (ചന്ദ്രന്റെ) കിരണങ്ങളെ ‘പാനം’ ചെയ്താൽ, മഹായജ്ഞഫലം ലഭിക്കും.
