श्रूयतां येन तुष्यामो मर्त्याना साधुकर्मणाम् । पितरोंने कहा--महाभाग देवताओ! आपने न्यायत:ः अपना संदेह उपस्थित किया है। उत्तम कर्म करनेवाले मनुष्योंके जिस कार्यसे हम संतुष्ट होते हैं, उसको सुनिये

പിതൃകൾ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹാഭാഗ ദേവന്മാരേ! നിങ്ങൾ ന്യായമായി നിങ്ങളുടെ സംശയം അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ഇനി കേൾക്കുവിൻ—സദ്കർമ്മം ചെയ്യുന്ന മർത്ത്യരുടെ ഏത് ആചാരവും ഏത് പ്രവർത്തിയും കൊണ്ടാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പിതൃകൾ സന്തുഷ്ടരാകുന്നത്, അതാണ് ഞങ്ങൾ പറയുന്നത്.
