Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa

ये योनिशुद्धा: सततं तपस्यभिरता भृशम्‌ । दानाध्ययनसम्पन्नास्ते वै पूज्यतमा: सदा

ye yoniśuddhāḥ satataṃ tapasyabhiratā bhṛśam | dānādhyayanasampannās te vai pūjyatamāḥ sadā ||

മൈത്രേയൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ശുദ്ധ വംശത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച്, നിരന്തരം അത്യന്തം തപസ്സിൽ നിരതരായി, ദാനവും അധ്യയനവും കൊണ്ട് സമ്പന്നരായ ബ്രാഹ്മണരേയാണ് സദാ ഏറ്റവും പൂജ്യരായി കരുതുന്നത്.
