Sāma (Sāntva) and Dāna: The Brāhmaṇa’s Conciliatory Release from a Rākṣasa
यदेव ददत: पुण्यं तदेव प्रतिगृह्नतः । न होकचक्रं वर्तेत इत्येवमृषयों विदु:
yad eva dadataḥ puṇyaṃ tad eva pratigṛhṇataḥ | na hokacakraṃ varteta ity evam ṛṣayo viduḥ ||
ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവന് ലഭിക്കുന്ന പുണ്യം തന്നെയാണ്, വിധിപൂർവം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നവനും സമമായി നേടുന്നത്. ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നെയാണെന്ന് ഋഷികൾ അറിയുന്നു—ഇല്ലെങ്കിൽ ലോകചക്രം തിരിയുകയില്ല।
