Maitreya
कीट उवाच सुखात् सुखतरं प्राप्तो भगवंस्त्वत्कृते हुहम्
kīṭa uvāca sukhāt sukhataram prāpto bhagavaṁs tvat-kṛte hūham
കീടം പറഞ്ഞു—“ഭഗവൻ! അങ്ങയുടെ കാരണത്താൽ ഞാൻ സാധാരണ സുഖത്തേക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായ സുഖം പ്രാപിച്ചു.”
कीट उवाच
The verse highlights gratitude and the ethical recognition of benefaction: even a small being acknowledges that another’s help can elevate one’s well-being beyond ordinary comfort, implying the dharmic value of compassion and responsible care for others.
An insect speaks directly to a revered figure, crediting that person as the cause of its improved state and expressing that it has attained a greater happiness through the other’s intervention or kindness.
