मानसतीर्थ-शौचप्रशंसा | Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity

पार्थिवै राजपुत्रैर्वा शक्‍्या: प्राप्तुं पितामह । नार्थन्यूनैरवगुणैरेकात्मभिरसंहतै:,दादाजी! राजा अथवा राजपुत्र ही उन यज्ञोंका लाभ ले सकते हैं। जिनके पास धनकी कमी है, जो गुणहीन, एकाकी और असहाय हैं, वे उस प्रकारके यज्ञ नहीं कर सकते

pārthivair rājaputrair vā śakyāḥ prāptuṃ pitāmaha | nārthanyūnair avaguṇair ekātmabhir asaṃhataiḥ ||

യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു— പിതാമഹാ! രാജാക്കന്മാരോ രാജകുമാരന്മാരോ മാത്രമേ ആ യജ്ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഫലം പ്രാപിക്കാനാകൂ. ധനം കുറവുള്ളവർ, ഗുണഹീനർ, ഏകാകികൾ, ആശ്രയമില്ലാത്തവർ—അവർക്ക് അത്തരം യജ്ഞങ്ങൾ നടത്താൻ കഴിയില്ല।
