Śrī-nivāsa: Traits and Conditions for the Abode of Prosperity (श्री-निवासः)
श्रीरवाच वसामि नित्यं सुभगे प्रगल्भे दक्षे नरे कर्मणि वर्तमाने | अक्रोधने देवपरे कृतज्ञे जितेन्द्रिये नित्यमुदीर्णसत्त्वे,लक्ष्मी बोलीं--देवि! मैं प्रतिदिन ऐसे पुरुषमें निवास करती हूँ जो सौभाग्यशाली, निर्भीक, कार्यकुशल, कर्मपरायण, क्रोधरहित, देवाराधनतत्पर, कृतज्ञ, जितेन्द्रिय तथा बढ़े हुए सत्त्वगुणसे युक्त हो
śrīr uvāca: vasāmi nityaṃ subhage pragalbhe dakṣe nare karmaṇi vartamāne | akrodhane devapare kṛtajñe jitendriye nityam udīrṇasattve ||
ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മി പറഞ്ഞു—ദേവീ! ഞാൻ നിത്യവും ആ പുരുഷനിൽ വസിക്കുന്നു: അവൻ സൗഭാഗ്യവാൻ, ധൈര്യശാലി, കാര്യദക്ഷൻ, ധർമ്മോചിത കർമത്തിൽ സ്ഥിരമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നവൻ; ക്രോധരഹിതൻ, ദേവപരായണൻ, കൃതജ്ഞൻ, ഇന്ദ്രിയജിതൻ, ഉന്നത സത്ത്വഗുണം നിറഞ്ഞവൻ.
