तत्रापि प्रयतो राजन् नहुषस्त्रिदिवे वसन् । मानुषीश्रैव दिव्याश्व कुर्वाणो विविधा: क्रिया:
tatrāpi prayato rājan nahuṣas tridive vasan | mānuṣīś caiva divyāś ca kurvāṇo vividhāḥ kriyāḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു— രാജാവേ! ത്രിദിവത്തിൽ വസിച്ചിരുന്നിട്ടും, നിയന്ത്രിതനും ശുദ്ധസങ്കൽപ്പനുമായ നഹുഷൻ നിരന്തരം നാനാവിധ ദിവ്യവും മാനുഷവുമായ കർമ്മങ്ങൾ അനുഷ്ഠിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു।
