Āloka-dāna (Dīpa-dāna), Sumanas–Dhūpa–Dīpa Phala: Manu–Suvarṇa and Śukra–Bali Exempla

सद्यः प्रीणाति देवान्‌ वै ते प्रीता भावयन्त्युत । संकल्पसिद्धा मर्त्यानामीप्सितैश्व मनोरमै:,फूल चढ़ानेसे मनुष्य देवताओंको तत्काल संतुष्ट करता है और संतुष्ट होकर वे सिद्धसंकल्प देवता मनुष्योंको मनोवांछित एवं मनोरम भोग देकर उनकी भलाई करते हैं

sadyaḥ prīṇāti devān vai te prītā bhāvayanty uta | saṅkalpasiddhā martyānām īpsitaiś ca manoramaiḥ ||

പുഷ്പാർപ്പണത്തിലൂടെ മനുഷ്യൻ ദേവന്മാരെ ഉടൻ പ്രസന്നരാക്കുന്നു; അവർ പ്രസന്നരായി—സങ്കൽപസിദ്ധരായ ദേവന്മാർ—മനുഷ്യരുടെ അഭ്യുദയം വർധിപ്പിച്ച് ഇഷ്ടവും മനോഹരവുമായ ഭോഗങ്ങൾ നൽകുന്നു.
