अग्नीषोमं वैश्वदेवं धान्वन्तर्यमनन्तरम् । प्रजानां पतये चैव पृथग्घोमो विधीयते,पहले अग्नि और सोमको, फिर विश्वेदेवोंको, तदनन्तर धन्वन्तरिको, तत्पश्चात् प्रजापतिको पृथक्-पृथक् आहुति देनेका विधान है
agnīṣomaṃ vaiśvadevaṃ dhānvantaryam anantaram | prajānāṃ pataye caiva pṛthag homo vidhīyate ||
ഹോമകർമ്മത്തിൽ വേർതിരിച്ച ആഹുതികൾ വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു—ആദ്യം അഗ്നി-സോമന്മാർക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ച്, പിന്നെ വിശ്വേദേവന്മാർക്ക്, തുടർന്ന് ധന്വന്തരിക്ക്, അതിനുശേഷം പ്രജാപതിക്ക് (പ്രജകളുടെ അധിപതിക്ക്) പ്രത്യേകം.
