युधिष्ठटिरस्तु गोवासनस्य शैब्यस्य देविकां नाम कनन््यां स्वयंवरे लेभे । तस्यां पुत्र जनयामास यौधेयं नाम
vaiśampāyana uvāca | yudhiṣṭhiras tu govāsanasya śaibyasya devikāṃ nāma kanyāṃ svayaṃvare lebhe | tasyāṃ putraṃ janayāmāsa yaudheyaṃ nāma |
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ ശൈബ്യവംശത്തിലെ ഗോവാസനന്റെ പുത്രിയായ ദേവികയെ സ്വയംവരത്തിൽ നേടി; അവളിൽ നിന്ന് യൗധേയൻ എന്ന പുത്രനെ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു।
वैशम्पायन उवाच
