King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
एवमुक्ता वरं वव्रे गात्रसौगन्ध्यमुत्तमम् । स चास्यै भगवान् प्रादान्मनस:काडूक्षितं भुवि
evaṃ uktā varaṃ vavre gātra-saugandhyam uttamam | sa cāsyai bhagavān prādān manasaḥ kāṅkṣitaṃ bhuvi ||
ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ സത്യവതി തന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന് ഉത്തമമായ സുഗന്ധം ലഭിക്കണമെന്ന വരം തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തു. അപ്പോൾ ഭഗവാൻ മഹർഷി പരാശരൻ ഈ ഭൂമിയിൽ തന്നേ അവളുടെ ഹൃദയാഭിലഷിതമായ വരം നൽകി.
