Duḥṣantasya Vana-praveśaḥ
King Duḥṣanta’s Entry into the Forest Hunt
इन्द्रत्वमहों राजायं तपसेत्यनुचिन्त्य वै । त॑ सान्त्वेन नृपं साक्षात् तपस: संन्यवर्तयन्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: indratvam aho rājāyaṁ tapasety anucintya vai | taṁ sāntvena nṛpaṁ sākṣāt tapasaḥ saṁnyavartayan ||
‘അഹോ! ഈ രാജാവ് തപസ്സിലൂടെ ഇന്ദ്രത്വം തേടുന്നു’ എന്നു വിചാരിച്ച് ദേവന്മാർ സ്വയം പ്രത്യക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു, ആശ്വസിപ്പിച്ച് ആ നൃപനെ തപസ്സിൽ നിന്ന് പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചു।
