रुद्राक्ष वसवश्चैव मरुतशक्ष महाबला:
vaiśampāyana uvāca | rudrākṣa vasavaś caiva marutaś ca mahābalāḥ | kṛṣṇapārtho jighāṃsantaḥ pratīyur vividhāyudhāḥ ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രുദ്രന്മാരും വസുക്കളും മഹാബലമുള്ള മരുത്ഗണങ്ങളും വിവിധായുധങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചു, കൃഷ്ണനെയും പാർത്ഥനെയും (അർജുനനെ) വധിക്കണമെന്ന ഉദ്ദേശത്തോടെ അവരുടെ നേരെ മുന്നേറി.
