Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
अनेनैव च विख्यातो नाम्ना लोकेषु सत्तम: । स ऑर्व इति विप्रर्षिरूरुं भित्तता व्यजायत,वे साधुशिरोमणि ब्रह्मर्षि अपनी माताका ऊरु भेदन करके उत्पन्न हुए थे, इसी कारण लोकमें “और्व” नामसे उनकी ख्याति हुई
anenaiva ca vikhyāto nāmnā lokeṣu sattamaḥ | sa aurva iti viprarṣir ūruṁ bhittvā vyajāyata |
വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ പുരുഷശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, ഈ കാരണത്താലേ അവൻ ലോകങ്ങളിൽ ആ നാമത്തിൽ പ്രസിദ്ധനായി. ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണർഷി മാതാവിന്റെ ഊരു (തുട) ഭേദിച്ച് ജനിച്ചു; അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ലോകത്ത് ‘ഔർവ’ എന്ന പേരിൽ പ്രശസ്തനായത്.
