अर्जुनस्य लक्ष्यवेधः
Arjuna’s Hitting of the Target at the Svayaṃvara
नानीशैहिं तदा तात भगुभिभवितात्मभि: | वधो हापेक्षित: सर्व: क्षत्रियाणां विहिंसताम्
nāniśaiḥ tadā tāta bhṛgubhir bhāvitātmabhiḥ | vadho hāpekṣitaḥ sarvaḥ kṣatriyāṇāṁ vihiṁsatām ||
വസിഷ്ഠൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“മകനേ! ക്ഷത്രിയർ ഞങ്ങളെ ഹിംസിക്കുമ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ—ശുദ്ധചിത്തരായ ഭൃഗുവംശീയ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ—അശക്തരായതിനാൽ നമ്മുടെ മുഴുവൻ കുലവധം മൗനമായി സഹിച്ചു എന്നു കരുതരുത്. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സഹനത്തിന് അത് കാരണമല്ല.”
