आकर्णाद्‌ भिन्नवक्त्रश्न शड्कुर्णो बिभीषण: । त्रिशिखां भ्रुकुटिं कृत्वा संदश्य दशनच्छदम्‌

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: ākarṇād bhinnavaktraś ca śaṅkukarṇo bibhīṣaṇaḥ | triśikhāṁ bhru-kuṭiṁ kṛtvā saṁdaśya daśanacchadam ||

അവന്റെ വായ് ചെവിവരെ പിളർന്നതുപോലെ; ചെവികൾ ശങ്കുവുപോലെ നീളവും മൂർച്ചയും ഉള്ളവ. അത്യന്തം ഭീകരൻ. അവൻ ഭ്രൂകുടി ചുളിച്ച് മൂന്ന് വരകൾ ഉയർത്തി, പല്ലുകൊണ്ട് സ്വന്തം അധരം കടിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
