क्र एकविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: पाण्डुका कुन्तीको समझाना और कुन्तीका पतिकी आज्ञासे पुत्रोत्पत्तिके लिये धर्मदेवताका आवाहन करनेके लिये उद्यत होना वैशम्पायन उवाच एवमुक्तस्तया राजा तां देवीं पुनरब्रवीत् । धर्मविद् धर्मसंयुक्तमिदं वचनमुत्तमम्
Vaiśampāyana uvāca: evam uktas tayā rājā tāṃ devīṃ punar abravīt | dharmavid dharmasaṃyuktam idaṃ vacanam uttamam ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവൾ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ധർമ്മജ്ഞനായ രാജാവ് പാണ്ഡു ആ ദേവിയായ കുന്തിയെ വീണ്ടും അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്തു. അത് ധർമ്മസംബദ്ധമായ, ധർമ്മവിദൻ ഉച്ചരിച്ച ഉത്തമവചനമായിരുന്നു.
