इति श्रीकूर्मपाराणे षट्साहस्त्र्यां संहितायामुपरिविभागे एकत्रिशो ऽध्यायः व्यास उवाच सुरापस्तु सुरां तप्तामग्निवर्णां स्वयं पिबेत् / तया स काये निर्दग्धे मुच्यते तु द्विजोत्तमः

ഇങ്ങനെ ശ്രീകൂർമപുരാണത്തിലെ ഷട്സാഹസ്രീ സംഹിതയുടെ ഉപരിവിഭാഗത്തിൽ ഏകത്രിംശ അധ്യായം സമാപ്തം. വ്യാസൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സുരാപാനം ചെയ്തവൻ അഗ്നിവർണ്ണമായിത്തീർന്ന ചൂടാക്കിയ സുരയെ സ്വയം പാനം ചെയ്യട്ടെ; അതാൽ ദേഹം ദഗ്ധമായാൽ ആ ദ്വിജോത്തമൻ പാപത്തിൽ നിന്ന് മോചിതനാകും।
