The Narrative of the Five Pretas
Eligibility for rites and jīvac-chrāddha procedure
कुर्याच्च मासिकं मासि सपिण्डीकरणं ततः / आशौचान्ते ततः कुर्यादात्मनो वा मरस्य तु
kuryācca māsikaṃ māsi sapiṇḍīkaraṇaṃ tataḥ / āśaucānte tataḥ kuryādātmano vā marasya tu
ഓരോ മാസവും മാസിക ശ്രാദ്ധം നടത്തണം; തുടർന്ന് വിധിപൂർവ്വം സപിണ്ഡീകരണം ചെയ്യണം. പിന്നെ ആശൗചം അവസാനിക്കുമ്പോൾ വീണ്ടും നിയതകർമ്മം ചെയ്യണം—സ്വയംക്കായി (വ്യവസ്ഥയായി) അല്ലെങ്കിൽ മരിച്ചവനുവേണ്ടി।
