Mukti-tattva Upadeśa: Knowledge as the Direct Cause of Liberation

शिरो वहति पुष्पाणि गन्धं जानाति नासिका / पठन्ति वेदशास्त्राणि दुर्लभो भावबोधकः

śiro vahati puṣpāṇi gandhaṃ jānāti nāsikā / paṭhanti vedaśāstrāṇi durlabho bhāvabodhakaḥ

തല പുഷ്പങ്ങൾ വഹിക്കുന്നു; സുഗന്ധം അറിയുന്നത് നാസികയാണ്. അതുപോലെ വേദശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ പലരും പാരായണം ചെയ്യുന്നു; എന്നാൽ അവയുടെ അന്തർഭാവം ബോധിക്കുന്നവൻ ദുർലഭൻ.
