प्रतिक्षणभयं कालः क्षीयमाणो न लक्ष्यते / आमकुंभ इवांभः स्थो विशीर्णो न विभाव्यते

pratikṣaṇabhayaṃ kālaḥ kṣīyamāṇo na lakṣyate / āmakuṃbha ivāṃbhaḥ stho viśīrṇo na vibhāvyate

ഓരോ ക്ഷണവും ഭയകാരണമാകുന്ന കാലം ക്ഷണക്ഷണം ക്ഷയിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോഴും ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെടുന്നില്ല; വെള്ളത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്ന ചുട്ടിട്ടില്ലാത്ത മൺകുടംപോലെ നിശ്ശബ്ദമായി പൊടിഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നു, തിരിച്ചറിയപ്പെടുന്നില്ല।
