द्वेषाद्भयाद्वा समरे समागते शस्त्रं गृहीत्वा परसैन्यसंमुखः / न याति पक्षीन्द्र मृश्च पश्चात्क्षात्त्रं बलं तस्य गतं तथैव / द्विजाय दत्त्वा कनकं महीमिमां भूयः स पश्चाद्भवतीह लोके

ഹേ പക്ഷീന്ദ്രാ (ഗരുഡാ)! യുദ്ധം വന്നപ്പോൾ ദ്വേഷത്താലോ ഭയത്താലോ ആയുധം എടുത്ത് ശത്രുസൈന്യത്തിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നവൻ വീര്യത്തിന്റെ യഥാർത്ഥ ഫലം നേടുകയില്ല; പിന്നെ അവന്റെ ക്ഷാത്രബലവും നഷ്ടമായതായി കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു। എന്നാൽ ദ്വിജനു സ്വർണ്ണവും ഈ ഭൂമിയും വരെ ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ, പിന്നീട് ഈ ലോകത്തിൽ വീണ്ടും സമൃദ്ധനാകും।
