प्रेतपिण्डं प्रदद्याच्च दाहार्तिशमनं खग / ततः प्रदक्षिणं कृक्त्वा चिताप्रस्थानवीक्षकाः

pretapiṇḍaṃ pradadyācca dāhārtiśamanaṃ khaga / tataḥ pradakṣiṇaṃ kṛktvā citāprasthānavīkṣakāḥ

ഹേ ഗരുഡാ, ദഹനത്താലുണ്ടായ താപം ശമിപ്പിക്കുന്നതിനായി പ്രേതപിണ്ഡം സമർപ്പിക്കണം. അതിനുശേഷം ചിതയെ പ്രദക്ഷിണം വെച്ച്, ചിതയിരിക്കുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് നോക്കിക്കൊണ്ട് മടങ്ങണം.
