പിന്നീട് പ്രേതനെ ഒരു പടവിൽ മുന്നോട്ട് നീക്കുന്നു; കടുത്ത ചൂടും ദാഹവും അവനെ അതിയായി പീഡിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പന്ത്രണ്ടാം മാസത്തിൽ അർപ്പിക്കുന്ന ശ്രാദ്ധം അവൻ അവിടെയേ ഭുജിക്കുന്നു, എങ്കിലും അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിതനായി തുടരുന്നു.
