एवं स्तुत्वा हरिं देवं भृगुस्तूष्णीं बभूव ह / तदनन्तरजो ह्यग्निरस्तावीत्पुरुषोत्तमम्

evaṃ stutvā hariṃ devaṃ bhṛgustūṣṇīṃ babhūva ha / tadanantarajo hyagnirastāvītpuruṣottamam

ഇങ്ങനെ ദേവനായ ഹരിയെ സ്തുതിച്ച ശേഷം ഭൃഗു മൗനമായി. തുടർന്ന് ക്രമത്തിൽ ജനിച്ച അഗ്നി ഉടൻ തന്നെ പുരുഷോത്തമനെ സ്തുതിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി.
