रुद्रे स्थितो रुद्रसंज्ञो न रुद्रस्तु हरिः स्वयम् / विष्णुरेव हरिः साक्षात्तावुभौन हरी स्मृतौ

rudre sthito rudrasaṃjño na rudrastu hariḥ svayam / viṣṇureva hariḥ sākṣāttāvubhauna harī smṛtau

രുദ്രനിൽ സ്ഥിതനായവൻ ‘രുദ്ര’ എന്ന നാമത്തിൽ വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു; എന്നാൽ ഹരി സ്വയം രുദ്രനല്ല. സാക്ഷാത് ഹരി വിഷ്ണുവേ; അതിനാൽ അവരെ രണ്ടുപേരെയും രണ്ട് ‘ഹരി’കളായി കരുതരുത്.
