‘എപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ദർശനം നേടും?’ എന്ന ഭക്തിഭാവത്തോടെ, ഹേ ദേവി, ആദരത്തോടെ ആരെങ്കിലും പ്രവേശിച്ചാൽ; പന്ത്രണ്ടു പ്രദക്ഷിണം ചെയ്തു, ഓരോ പാദത്തിലും ശ്രീനിവാസനെ സ്മരിക്കണം.
Lord Vishnu (narrative voice; devotional instruction)
Concept: Darśana-lālasā (longing to see the Lord) expressed through pradakṣiṇā and constant smaraṇa.
Vedantic Theme: Bhakti as a means to citta-śuddhi and ekāgratā; the Lord as the inner object of remembrance at every step.
Application: When visiting a shrine (or in daily life), pair physical action (walking/circumambulating) with a simple remembrance to prevent mind-wandering.
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: circumambulatory path (pradakṣiṇā-mārga)
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.24.80-81 (ācamanā, namaskāra, shrine entry)
This verse presents twelve circumambulations as a disciplined devotional act, meant to focus the mind and body on continuous remembrance of Śrīnivāsa rather than mere external ritual.
It emphasizes entering with bhakti and reverence, longing to behold the Lord, and sustaining smaraṇa (remembrance) at every step—making the visit an inner practice, not only a physical act.
When visiting a shrine (or in daily life), pair any outward practice—walking, circling, offering—with repeated remembrance of Viṣṇu’s name or qualities, keeping attention steady and respectful.
