विष्णोर्भद्रे हस्तपादादिकानां भेदज्ञानं द्वेषमाहुर्महान्तः / अवताराणा छेदभेदादिकं च तथोच्यते मरणस्यापि चिन्ता
viṣṇorbhadre hastapādādikānāṃ bhedajñānaṃ dveṣamāhurmahāntaḥ / avatārāṇā chedabhedādikaṃ ca tathocyate maraṇasyāpi cintā
ഭദ്രേ, വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ കൈകാലാദി അവയവങ്ങളിൽ ഭേദബോധം പുലർത്തുന്നതിനെ മഹാന്മാർ ദ്വേഷമെന്ന് പറയുന്നു. അതുപോലെ അവന്റെ അവതാരങ്ങളെ ‘ഛേദം’, ‘ഭേദം’ മുതലായ വാക്കുകളാൽ കഷണങ്ങളാക്കിയതുപോലെ പറയുന്നതും, അവന്റെ ‘മരണം’ കുറിച്ച് ആശങ്കപ്പെടുന്നതും അതേവിധം ഗുരുദോഷമായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു।
