हनुमांश्च तदा जज्ञे त्रेतायां पक्षिसत्तम / तदा शिवाख्यविप्राच्च जज्ञे सा भारती स्मृता

ഹേ പക്ഷിശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ത്രേതായുഗത്തിൽ അപ്പോൾ ഹനുമാൻ ജനിച്ചു; അതേ സമയത്ത് ‘ശിവ’ എന്ന പേരുള്ള ബ്രാഹ്മണനിൽ നിന്നു അവളും—‘ഭാരതി’ എന്നു സ്മരിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവൾ—ജനിച്ചു.
