Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

This verse treats certain sights at the start of travel as शुभ (favorable indicators), showing that the text preserves nimitta-based guidance meant to support confidence, timing, and auspiciousness in worldly undertakings.

It does not describe the soul’s post-death journey here; instead, it addresses yātrā (physical travel) and the interpretation of auspicious signs encountered on the way.

As a cultural takeaway, one may begin important travel with auspicious preparations (e.g., a “pūrṇa-kumbha” symbolism of fullness/prosperity) and maintain mindful attention to one’s environment, using such traditions to cultivate steadiness rather than superstition.
