FAQs

This verse highlights that purification is supported by sacred sound—Vedic chanting and auspicious proclamations—performed under the guidance of the ācārya and guru, making the rite formally sanctified.

Indirectly, it shows the Purāṇa’s emphasis on correct saṃskāra and purification: properly performed rites are presented as supportive conditions for dharmic order, which the text connects elsewhere to post-death welfare and merit.

Perform key rites (including simple purification rituals) with competent guidance, clean procedure, and sincere auspicious invocation—focusing on clarity, reverence, and dharmic intent rather than mere formality.
