Concept: Directional and central worship (petals and pericarp) to secure śreyas (true welfare) through ordered devotion.

Vedantic Theme: Īśvara-anugraha (grace) accessed through upāsanā; the center symbolizes the inner Self/heart-lotus where grace is realized.

Application: In pūjā/nyāsa, assign deities to directions/petals, then concentrate on the center with a grace-invoking deity-name; use this as a meditative map for steadiness and auspicious intent.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: ritual-mandala/lotus-diagram

FAQs

This verse gives a precise ritual placement: specific deities are invoked on directionally arranged petals, indicating an ordered mandala-based worship meant to generate śreyas (auspicious welfare).

Indirectly: it emphasizes ritual alignment and divine grace (Anugrahā) as supports for śreyas, which in Garuda Purana frameworks is connected to right conduct and beneficial outcomes in this life and beyond.

When performing a puja with a lotus/mandala visualization, keep the worship structured—honor directional placements and center the practice on cultivating anugraha (grace) and śreyas (ethical, auspicious living).
