nārada uvāca / yathākṣayo 'vyayo viṣṇuḥ stotavyo varado mayā / pratyahaṃ cārcanākāle tathā tvaṃ vaktumarhasi
Narada (Nārada)
Concept: Viṣṇu, imperishable and boon-giving, should be praised daily at the time of worship; teaching/propagation of that praise is itself a duty.
Vedantic Theme: Nitya-upāsanā as a stabilizer of mind (citta-śuddhi) leading toward higher realization; the unchanging (avyaya) as the ultimate refuge.
Application: Fix a daily pūjā window; recite the stotra consistently (pratyahaṃ) with attention and purity; if learned, transmit it to others as a service (sevā) to dharma and bhakti.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: ritual space (gṛha-mandira or temple sanctum)
Related Themes: Garuda Purana: repeated stress on nāma-smaraṇa and stotra as daily discipline (general motif)
This verse frames daily praise of Viṣṇu—imperishable and unchanging—as a recommended practice, especially at the time of archanā (formal worship), emphasizing steady devotion and remembrance.
Indirectly, it supports the Garuda Purana’s broader teaching that regular worship and stuti cultivate dharma and spiritual merit, which aid the soul’s well-being and orientation toward liberation.
Recite a Viṣṇu-stotra or a short hymn daily during puja, keeping the focus on Viṣṇu as akṣaya (imperishable) and avyaya (unchanging) to build consistent spiritual discipline.
