उपोष्य रजनीमेकां पञ्चगव्येन शुध्यति / वर्णबाह्येन संस्पृष्टः पञ्चरात्रेण वै तदा

upoṣya rajanīmekāṃ pañcagavyena śudhyati / varṇabāhyena saṃspṛṣṭaḥ pañcarātreṇa vai tadā

ഒരു രാത്രി ഉപവസിച്ച് പഞ്ചഗവ്യം ഉപയോഗിച്ചാൽ ശുദ്ധിയാകുന്നു. എന്നാൽ വർണബാഹ്യനായ വ്യക്തി സ്പർശിച്ചാൽ, അപ്പോൾ അഞ്ചു രാത്രികളുടെ അനുഷ്ഠാനത്തോടെ ശുദ്ധി ലഭിക്കുന്നു।
