FAQs

It advises rubbing apāmārga root between the hands and applying its juice to the wound; this is said to stop bleeding and prevent pus formation, with ghee aiding healing.

The speaker is Hari (Lord Vishnu). In the Garuda Purana’s dialogue framework, Vishnu instructs Garuda (Vinata-putra), though Garuda is not named in this specific line.

As a traditional reference, it highlights plant-based first-aid ideas; in modern practice, treat bleeding with proper medical care and view the verse as historical Ayurvedic knowledge rather than a substitute for clinical treatment.
