ईषदुष्णसेवनाच्च लघुः सूपः सुसाधितः / स्विन्न निष्पीडितं शाकं हितं स्नेहादिसंस्कृतम्

īṣaduṣṇasevanācca laghuḥ sūpaḥ susādhitaḥ / svinna niṣpīḍitaṃ śākaṃ hitaṃ snehādisaṃskṛtam

അൽപ്പം ഇളംചൂടോടെ സേവിക്കുമ്പോൾ നന്നായി പാകം ചെയ്ത സൂപ്പ് ലഘുവാകുന്നു. ആവിയിൽ വേവിച്ച് വെള്ളം പിഴിഞ്ഞെടുത്ത ശാകം, നെയ്യ്/എണ്ണ മുതലായ സ്നേഹാദികളാൽ സംസ്കരിച്ചതെങ്കിൽ ഹിതകരമാണ്।
