നന്നായി കഴുകി, ശരിയായി അരിച്ചെടുത്ത്, സ്നിഗ്ധമായി, സുഖകരമായി ഇളംചൂടോടെ, രുചി വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ലഘുവായതു; എന്നാൽ കന്ദ‑മൂല‑ഫലങ്ങളും ലേഹ്യവും ചേർത്ത് തയ്യാറാക്കിയാൽ അത് പുഷ്ടികരവും ഭാരവുമാകുന്നു।
