Lord Vishnu (to Garuda)

Dosha: Vata

Concept: Precise phenomenology of vāta: tactile analogies and pain-taxonomy reveal diagnosis by direct experience.

Vedantic Theme: Suffering is an object of awareness; naming sensations reduces confusion and supports equanimity (śānti) through clarity.

Application: If joint symptoms include ‘water-bag touch’ sensation, dryness, and migrating sharp pains with twitching, consider vāta aggravation; prioritize warmth, lubrication, rest, and professional care.

Primary Rasa: karuna

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

FAQs

This verse treats vāta as a primary moving force whose disturbance produces recognizable signs—dryness, joint involvement, and pain patterns—useful for identifying the nature of an affliction.

It links suffering to the movement and lodging of vāyu in specific channels and joints, producing systemic pain and twitching—showing a cause-and-symptom mapping rather than a purely moral narrative here.

Use the symptom-pattern idea: dryness, joint-centered pain, and twitching point to vāta-type imbalance, encouraging timely grounding routines, rest, and appropriate traditional consultation.
