അവിടെ ശൂർപ്പണഖാ എന്ന രാക്ഷസി ഭക്ഷിക്കാനായി വന്നു. അപ്പോൾ രാമൻ അവളുടെ ചെവിയും മൂക്കും മുറിച്ച് അവളെ അകറ്റി ഓടിച്ചു.
