atreḥ somastasya bhāryā tārā suraguroḥ priyā / somāttarā budhaṃ jajñe budhaputraḥ purūravāḥ

അത്രീയിൽ നിന്ന് സോമൻ ജനിച്ചു. അവന്റെ ഭാര്യ താര, ദേവഗുരു (ബൃഹസ്പതി)യുടെ പ്രിയയായവൾ. സോമനാൽ താര ബുധനെ പ്രസവിച്ചു; ബുധന്റെ പുത്രൻ പുരൂരവസ്.
