पञ्चत्रिंशदुत्तरशततमो ऽध्यायः ब्रह्मोवाच / श्रवणद्वादशों वक्ष्ये भुक्तिमुक्तिप्रदायिनीम् / एकादशी द्वादशी च श्रवणेन च संयुता

ബ്രഹ്മാവ് പറഞ്ഞു—ഭോഗവും മോക്ഷവും നൽകുന്ന ‘ശ്രവണ-ദ്വാദശി’ വ്രതം ഞാൻ വിവരിക്കുന്നു. ഇത് ശ്രവണ നക്ഷത്രത്തോടു ചേർന്ന ഏകാദശിയും ദ്വാദശിയും സംയുക്തമായ അനുഷ്ഠാനമാണ്.
