Indra’s Brahma-hatyā, Flight from Sin, and Purification by Aśvamedha
श्रीशुक उवाच ऋषयस्तदुपाकर्ण्य महेन्द्रमिदमब्रुवन् । याजयिष्याम भद्रं ते हयमेधेन मा स्म भै: ॥ ६ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ṛṣayas tad upākarṇya mahendram idam abruvan yājayiṣyāma bhadraṁ te hayamedhena mā sma bhaiḥ
ശ്രീശുകൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇത് കേട്ട് ഋഷിമാർ മഹേന്ദ്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു: “നിനക്ക് മംഗളം. ഭയപ്പെടേണ്ട. നിനക്കായി അശ്വമേധയാഗം നടത്താം; ബ്രാഹ്മണവധത്തിൽ നിന്നുണ്ടാകുന്ന പാപത്തിൽ നിന്ന് നീ മോചിതനാകും.”
