अप्यभद्रं न युष्माभिर्भार्गवस्य विचेष्टितम् । व्यक्तं केनापि नस्तस्य कृतमाश्रमदूषणम् ॥ ६ ॥
apy abhadraṁ na yuṣmābhir bhārgavasya viceṣṭitam vyaktaṁ kenāpi nas tasya kṛtam āśrama-dūṣaṇam
നിങ്ങളിൽ ആരെങ്കിലും ഭൃഗുപുത്രനായ ച്യവനമുനിയോട് അനർത്ഥകരമായ എന്തെങ്കിലും ചെയ്തോ? വ്യക്തമായി, നമ്മിൽ ആരോ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ആശ്രമം മലിനമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
This verse highlights that an offense can “defile” one’s spiritual situation; the narrative around Durvāsā shows that aparādha brings immediate disturbance and serious reactions.
Because Durvāsā’s agitation and the “defilement” of his āśrama implied that someone had offended him; Ambariṣa carefully considers whether his own people had caused it.
Be vigilant to avoid disrespect toward saints, teachers, and sincere devotees; when conflict arises, first examine one’s own conduct and seek reconciliation rather than escalation.
