श्रीसूत उवाच एवं परीक्षिता राज्ञा सदसि ब्रह्मवादिनाम् । पृष्ट: प्रोवाच भगवाञ्छुक: परमधर्मवित् ॥ ६ ॥

ശ്രീസൂതൻ പറഞ്ഞു—വേദജ്ഞ പണ്ഡിതരുടെ സഭയിൽ മഹാരാജാ പരീക്ഷിത് ഇങ്ങനെ ചോദിച്ചതിനാൽ, പരമധർമ്മവിദനായ ഭഗവാൻ ശുകദേവ ഗോസ്വാമി പ്രസംഗം ആരംഭിച്ചു.
