एता: कुरुश्रेष्ठ जगद्विधातु- र्नारायणस्याखिलसत्त्वधाम्न: । लीलाकथास्ते कथिता: समासत: कार्त्स्‍न्येन नाजोऽप्यभिधातुमीश: ॥ ३९ ॥

Transliteration

etāḥ kuru-śreṣṭha jagad-vidhātur nārāyaṇasyākhila-sattva-dhāmnaḥ līlā-kathās te kathitāḥ samāsataḥ kārtsnyena nājo ’py abhidhātum īśaḥ

Translation

ഹേ കുരുശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! ലോകത്തിന്റെ വിധാതാവും സർവ്വസത്തയുടെ ധാമവുമായ ശ്രീനാരായണന്റെ ഈ ലീലാകഥകൾ ഞാൻ നിനക്കു സംക്ഷേപമായി പറഞ്ഞു; അവയെ പൂർണ്ണമായി വിവരിക്കാൻ സ്വയം അജൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാവും) പോലും അശക്തനാണ്.
