te śārṅga-cyuta-bāṇaughaiḥ kṛtta-bāhv-aṅghri-kandharāḥ nipetuḥ pradhane kecid eke santyajya dudruvuḥ

ശാർങ്ഗധനുസ്സിൽ നിന്നിറങ്ങിയ അമ്പുകളുടെ പ്രളയത്തിൽ അവർ മൂടപ്പെട്ടു. ചിലരുടെ കൈകളും കാലുകളും കഴുത്തും മുറിഞ്ഞ് യുദ്ധഭൂമിയിൽ വീണു; ശേഷിച്ചവർ പോരാട്ടം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഓടി രക്ഷപ്പെട്ടു।
