एवं वृते भगवति मयेशे नृपयूथपा: । न सेहिरे याज्ञसेनि स्पर्धन्तो हृच्छयातुरा: ॥ ३१ ॥

Transliteration

evaṁ vṛte bhagavati mayeśe nṛpa-yūthapāḥ na sehire yājñaseni spardhanto hṛc-chayāturāḥ

Translation

യാജ്ഞസേനി! ഞാൻ പരമേശ്വരനായ ഭഗവാനെ വരിച്ചപ്പോൾ, അവിടെയുള്ള പ്രമുഖ രാജാക്കന്മാർ അത് സഹിച്ചില്ല. കാമതാപത്തിൽ വ്യാകുലരായി അവർ പരസ്പരം മത്സരിച്ച് കലഹത്തിലായി.
