ततश्चटचटाशब्दो वज्रनिष्पेससन्निभ: । गदयो: क्षिप्तयो राजन्दन्तयोरिव दन्तिनो: ॥ ३६ ॥

Transliteration

tataś caṭa-caṭā-śabdo vajra-niṣpesa-sannibhaḥ gadayoḥ kṣiptayo rājan dantayor iva dantinoḥ

Translation

അപ്പോൾ എറിഞ്ഞ ഗദകൾ തമ്മിൽ ഇടിച്ചപ്പോൾ ‘ചടചട’ എന്ന ശബ്ദം ഉയർന്നു; അത് വജ്രാഘാതംപോലെ. രാജാവേ, അത് പോരാടുന്ന രണ്ടു ആനകളുടെ വലിയ ദന്തങ്ങൾ കൂട്ടിയിടിക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദംപോലെ തോന്നി.
