श्रीशुक उवाच एकदा तु सभामध्य आस्थितो मुनिभिर्वृत: । ब्राह्मणै: क्षत्रियैर्वैश्यैर्भ्रातृभिश्च युधिष्ठिर: ॥ १ ॥ आचार्यै: कुलवृद्धैश्च ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिबान्धवै: । शृण्वतामेव चैतेषामाभाष्येदमुवाच ह ॥ २ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ekadā tu sabhā-madhya āsthito munibhir vṛtaḥ brāhmaṇaiḥ kṣatriyair vaiśyair bhrātṛbhiś ca yudhiṣṭhiraḥ
ശ്രീശുകദേവ ഗോസ്വാമി പറഞ്ഞു—ഒരു ദിവസം ധർമ്മരാജ യുദ്ധിഷ്ഠിരൻ രാജസഭയിൽ മഹാമുനിമാർ, ബ്രാഹ്മണർ, ക്ഷത്രിയർ, വൈശ്യർ, തന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങൾ, ആചാര്യർ, കുലവൃദ്ധർ, രക്തബന്ധുക്കൾ, വിവാഹബന്ധുക്കൾ, സുഹൃത്തുകൾ എന്നിവരാൽ ചുറ്റപ്പെട്ട് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, എല്ലാവരും കേൾക്കവെ അദ്ദേഹം ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണനെ അഭിസംബോധന ചെയ്ത് ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞു।
